Years ago, I came across a simple yet powerful piece of advice: "Take your camera everywhere you go." Since then, I’ve made it a habit—bringing it along on errands, trips, family gatherings, and even casual strolls.
Carrying a camera shifts your perspective. It awakens your creative eye, helping you notice the extraordinary in the everyday. Recently, while out walking our dog with my wife, I decided to bring my camera. That ordinary walk transformed into something much more—an exploration of light, texture, and fleeting moments.

Black-and-white photography has always been my first love. Even as a kid, I was drawn to the classics—those old black-and-white movies and TV shows. There’s something magical about them. The lack of color strips away the distractions and pulls your focus to what truly matters—the main subjects. It’s like they were whispering, “Hey, look closer.”
There’s a certain elegance to black and white that color just can’t touch. It’s timeless. It's raw. It’s dramatic.
Lately, I’ve decided to double down on this passion. Among my collection of cameras, I’ve officially crowned one as my black-and-white-only camera. No color allowed. This year, I’m challenging myself to step up my monochrome game—to embrace simplicity and let my work speak with light, shadow, and texture.
No frills. No distractions. Just the quiet beauty of a world without color. Let’s see where this grayscale journey takes me.

I went out this day with no particular goal in mind, but to just be out on the streets and capture the vibe of the streets. I took mostly video this day, as it is one of my weak points. The photography aspect of street photography comes easy for me, it’s the video side that keeps punching me in the ribcage. Like they say, just keep trucking along.

Catch it while you can.
It’s when you see the light and it is fading, you try and capture the clouds and sky before the night skies snatch it away. I was going to leave my camera at home, but changed my mind at the last second. It turned out to be a good choice that I brought it along.

It took me longer to drive to the downtown locations, but the decision only took me “ten minutes “ to make. Sometimes the decision will take hours or days to make, to complete one simple action. Just make effort to get up, grab the camera, and go out! You never know what will become of it !

San Antonio
Took a weekend trip with a friend to San Antonio,TX; to do some photography. I highly suggest it if you get the chance. It really gets the creative juices flowing and gets you out of the “solo” comfort zone ! Stay Creative My Friends. . . M O Z89
Just a Sign of the mind.
While on a family vacation, I was like a kid in a candy shop, looking for images, in a new town. Of course my wife was “annoyed” that I was always stopping and looking “everything”. I am a big believer of “eye work”: capturing a picture with your mind, even if no camera is with you.
The thing with photography, it’s the small things that make the biggest improvements in your work. So when you do go somewhere special with your camera: the images and frames will seemly develop with ease.
Sign of Mind
Sometimes just wait.
Saw this spot a few months ago and just knew it had all the elements. SXSW was going on in town, so I just knew the opportunity to capture at least one good shot was on the table. I stayed in this spot for around forty-five minutes; before I captured this particular scene.
I took several shots this day, but this was my favorite one from the group. I normally don’t stay in one spot for long, but sometimes you just have to wait.
