The Absence of Color
The Absence of Color
Black-and-white photography has always been my first love. Even as a kid, I was drawn to the classics—those old black-and-white movies and TV shows. There’s something magical about them. The lack of color strips away the distractions and pulls your focus to what truly matters—the main subjects. It’s like they were whispering, “Hey, look closer.”
There’s a certain elegance to black and white that color just can’t touch. It’s timeless. It's raw. It’s dramatic.
Lately, I’ve decided to double down on this passion. Among my collection of cameras, I’ve officially crowned one as my black-and-white-only camera. No color allowed. This year, I’m challenging myself to step up my monochrome game—to embrace simplicity and let my work speak with light, shadow, and texture.
No frills. No distractions. Just the quiet beauty of a world without color. Let’s see where this grayscale journey takes me.

I love getting up early trying to capture some of that good morning light. Black and white has always been my photography to create.

Went on an afternoon walk and captured these pictures while the entire place was quiet.
Simple Collection
When traveling thru small towns, it’s often the simple subjects that are most intriguing. I find that ones without people are the best ones.

A different View
I am guilty like most photographers, when I am out and about taking photos, I never look up. Spending most of my time looking left to right and what’s in front of me
Once I find myself trying to expand my field of view by visually scanning the whole scene. So get out there and make art and stay creative !
