It’s when you see the light and it is fading, you try and capture the clouds and sky before the night skies snatch it away. I was going to leave my camera at home, but changed my mind at the last second. It turned out to be a good choice that I brought it along.

On the go !

There are times as a creative I think: “ should I make a quick video?” I will will think about this question for several minutes, even though I could just pull my phone out and start recording. It won’t be perfect, picture quality will suck, but then I just make something.

I know it won’t be my “best” work but it get my creative juices flowing and I get excited thinking about what CAN I make! So don’t over think it, just make something, it makes you better in the long run.

Just ten minutes..

It took me longer to drive to the downtown locations, but the decision only took me “ten minutes “ to make. Sometimes the decision will take hours or days to make, to complete one simple action. Just make effort to get up, grab the camera, and go out! You never know what will become of it !

Road Trip

I love taking small and simple road trips around the state. For a while, if I did not have my main camera with me, I would not take any photos and would just watch the world go by. More often than not, I use my cellphone to capture the small moments on the go. So go for the moments and capture the memories!

Sometimes just wait.

Saw this spot a few months ago and just knew it had all the elements. SXSW was going on in town, so I just knew the opportunity to capture at least one good shot was on the table. I stayed in this spot for around forty-five minutes; before I captured this particular scene.

I took several shots this day, but this was my favorite one from the group. I normally don’t stay in one spot for long, but sometimes you just have to wait.

Not Clean ?

I usually try and capture “clean” shots, but this one I really liked. Going for a “clean” technical picture is great, but every now and then, a “not so clean” picture will do just fine! I went went downtown Austin,Texas for a night photowalk and captured this photo. It’s “clean” to me.

The Unexpected.

While downtown Austin,Texas a while back ; I was on the hunt for some good street-photography . The weather was good and I was in the zone. The unique thing about this day was that, there were not many people walking downtown. I figured that, with the good weather, the downtown area would be packed!

After snapping off a couple of pictures, I saw this gentleman approaching from down the street. As I snapped his picture, I was not expecting a “peace sign” to be tossed up. It would have just been another man on a bike, but hand gesture, made this picture even better. Sometimes the unexpected pictures turn out to be the best ones of the day!
